These two models are the workhorses of the Ghost Squadron team and carry out a variety
of duties. The Super Greenley is used a fun sport model and glider tug but has also
been used as a toffee bomber. It is also used when connected to a buddy box to give
potential new pilots a taste of model flying where its large size makes it easy to
see and control.
The Greenley is a high wing model of very simple construction with the fuz made from
1/32” ply, the wings are foam and the tail is all sheet balsa. Whilst the model has
the look of a large trainer it is fully aerobatic in all positive and negative manoeuvres.
With a 40cc motor it is also capable of prophanging whilst at the same time when
throttled back or powered by a smaller motor it is just as happy floating around
at slow speeds. It also makes a very stable glider tug when powered by larger motors.
With careful construction and powered by a motor like a Zenoah 38 it can be made
under 7 kg.
Plans of these models are available from the Ghost Squadron
.Both models are drawn on the same plan which costs £12 + £1.27 postage.
