Kirby Kite Glider - 1/4 scale
This model is currently under construction and being built from the John
Watkins plan. The build uses many old traditional building methods using
balsa and hardwood.
At this moment in time the fuselage has been "sheeted" and is ready now to
be finished off by being covered with glass cloth and resin. The tail
plane, elevator, fin, and rudder have also been completed.
Work has now started on constructing the "gull shaped" wings which are a
most attractive feature of the aircraft. It is hoped that the model will
be ready for its test flight in springtime of 2010.
