Latest News

The big news for 2020 is that the team will be celebrating its 40th anniversary this year. We have for a while been the longest continually operating model aircraft team in the world but reaching 40 years is a significant milestone. We will be holding a celebration of the past 40 years during the summer with as many of the old team members as possible in attendance.

There was a change to the makeup of the team at the end of 2019. Due to work and life commitments, Pat and Jane have withdrawn from the team. They have both been valuable members for many years and it is sad to see them leave but life will go on and we wish them both all the best for the future and hope to still see them on a flying field sometime soon.

With the loss of Middle Wallop as a model flying venue, the team has been very active looking for a replacement site to continue their very popular aerotow meetings. New aerotow meetings have been arranged at BMFA Buckminster and a trial of a new venue at South Cerney is planned for 20 /21 June. It is hoped that following a successful trial this will become a regular sith for aerotow activities.

Building wise, 2019 has been a year of consolidation for the teams builds. Details of the current projects can be found on the "Current Build Projects" page. Please look back on these pages during the year to follow the progress of these models to completion.

The engineering section has been updated with info on the progress on the 3D printer and a new CNC laser cutter being built by Alan.

There have been lots of additions and amendments to the site's pages for 2020. Many pages have been updated so please use the buttons on the left of this page and take some time to have a look around.

A special thanks to TBOBBORAP1  for allowing the team to use some of their video's taken during the events we attend.
