Welcome to the teams 2023 website
How to use the site
The blue buttons on the left of the page will take you directly to the individual pages or an "index page" to the front page of the section containing information on the team's models grouped into categories. "Back" buttons exist on most pages to help you navigate back out of the pages so please take some time to look around the site and see what the team is up to.
Updates 2023
It is with very sad hearts that we have to report the passing of long time team member Andrew Taylor in September 2022. Andrew was a key team member not only building interesting models but also hosting fly-in's and team meetings at his flying field at Binham. With the support of his family we hope to be able to keep the fy-in's going for the enjoyment of all. All Andrews models listed on this website will be moved to the archive pages to record his involvement in the team.
We are very happy to welcome a new member to the Ghost Squadron Team. Bernie Jones joined has been associated with the team for somme time but officially joined us during the summer of 2022 and has already attended several events as a team member. You can read Bernies CV on the "who we are " pages and details of the models he has brought to the team can be found on the relevent pages within the site
Coming out of the Covid restrictions, the team was once again active on the UK and European airshow scene enjoying meeting pilots from across countries to share our passions. Team members have also been busy in their workshops producing new models, details of which can be found on the "current build projects" pages. Please spend some time browsing the website to see the models.
Other news for the 2023 website:-
The series of articles on the build and operation of John's Cmelak model that were published in the Jan/Feb and March/April editions of R/C Scale International have now been added to the Cmelak page of the "General Aircraft index". It is an interesting read about the difficulties of completing a very poor kit.
An article first published in R/C Scale international abou the development of the teams Autogyro project has also been added to the "Project Autogyro" page under the "General Aircraft index" button
A "For Sale" section has been added for Team models and equipment that occasionally are put up for sale. Click on the blue button on the left to see the for sale page and check back regularly for updates.
Projects built and completed during 2022 have been added straight to the relevent pages of the website and the "projects section" has been updated to show the current builds. Completed builds have been moved to the relevant sections of the website. These include:-
General Aircraft Index
Project Autogyro
Zlin 526
Bernie's Wilga
Jungmeister
Jet index
DH Vampire
Old Timer Index
Several models have been added to this page
The team's new projects each now have a dedicated page detailing the model.
The archive page has been updated to record more of the team's past models.
The team's 2023 aerotow meetings at BMFA Buckminster will take place on 20/21st May and 2/3rd September.
The website navigation has been further simplified for 2023 and many photos now have direct links to more info. Click on the model image to take you directly to more info about the model
